Transfer Stations

Transfer Stations & Recycling Centres within our local region are designed to maximise reuse and recycling, by sorting your load you will be reducing the amount of waste going to landfill and helping us in achieving our goal of halving waste by 2020. You can recycle a wide range of materials at your local transfer station or recycling centre, with many items being accepted free of charge.*

Problem Waste Cannot Go In Any Bin

Problem waste cannot go into any of your kerbside bins, because the chemicals within these items are extremely hazardous to the environment. So what do you do with it? Transfer stations and Recycling Centres offer disposal for problem waste. Such items include: chemicals, paint, fluoro tubes/globes, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, waste oil (cooking and motor oil), batteries (household and car).*
